Kajabi is a one-in-all business platform for knowledge entrepreneurs. Founded in 2010, they’ve empowered more than 50,000 knowledge entrepreneurs in 120 countries to serve 60 million students and make over $4 billion in sales.
For creators like Brendon Burchard, James Wedmore, and Amy Porterfield, Kajabi is the foundation to their success. By putting all the pieces of a digital business in one convenient platform, it helps creators get unstuck and focus on growth rather than technology.
Background: Kickstarting Results in a New Content Marketing Program
In 2020, Kajabi decided to focus on content marketing. They hired a new content director and called in Kathryn Aragon to help them produce the high-quality SEO, product, and conversion content they needed to drive growth.
The Ask
Because Kajabi’s content marketing program was new, they had a director of content marketing but no dedicated content marketing team to support him.
Initially, the content director needed to be able to produce lots of new content. He needed to drive results quickly, including traffic and revenue. And the content needed to be top quality so he wouldn’t need to do a lot of editing.
Then, as the program grew, he needed Kathryn to tackle a variety of projects and integrate with his expanding team.
Kathryn Aragon has been an essential part of scaling our revenue-generating content programs. She provides exceptional work ahead of deadlines. She’s also been an absolute pleasure to work with.
MARIN PEREZ, FORMER DIRECTOR OF CONTENT
The Approach
Each month, Kathryn produced two to six articles, including new topics and content updates to refresh old articles. Kathryn also wrote ebooks, video scripts, and lead generation content when needed.
Kathryn worked closely with the team at Kajabi. They provided a brief with target keywords, article length, and any special instructions for new articles. For content updates, she did competitive research to determine the best length and focus to earn the number-one position in SERPs (search engine results pages).
The objective was quality content that could drive traffic and conversions. To achieve those goals, Kathryn created a variety of formats, including:
- Kajabi vs. [competitor] comparison articles
- How-to content
- What to consider articles
- Listicles
Kathryn carefully researched each topic before writing, and then edited and optimized each project to ensure Kajabi could achieve its goals. Her process included keyword optimization and the creation of internal links, meta descriptions, and graphics.
We are so lucky to have you and your team to keep our content train moving by producing well-researched, in-depth content.

The Results
In the first six months, their work led to:
- 61% overall increase in keyword ranking
- 96% increase in Page 1 keywords
- 85% boost in organic traffic
- 125% more customers converted from content
After two years of working together, Kajabi ranked for many of the top keywords for their industry. Each of our articles ranked for an average of 12 keywords:
- 2 in the #1 position
- 3 in the top three
- 6 on page 1
Overall, Kathryn’s content resulted in a traffic boost to 31M visitors per month, with 9.7 pages viewed per visit. By comparison, competitor Thinkific only got 9.2M per month.
Kathryn has been an incredible content creation partner for Kajabi. She always produces high-quality content that is optimized for SEO and sets us up as the authority in our industry. Outside of producing quality content, Kathryn is swift to execute on our content requests, flexible when a need for higher-priority content arises, and extremely communicative throughout the entire content creation process.
