Just two weeks left in 2014. If you haven’t set your marketing strategy for 2015 yet, now is the time for some smart marketing prep.
But even if you have, it never hurts to dig deep and make sure you’re growing your business and positioning yourself for more. These 7 questions should help…
7 questions to guide your strategic planning
1. What is your top goal for 2015?
2. What outcomes would you like to see? Or more specifically, what will success look like at the end of the year?
3. What’s one way you could add value to your customers?
4. What’s one new marketing tactic you’d like to learn, master, or integrate into your existing plan?
5. What major campaigns do you need to run to hit your end-of-year outcomes?
6. What assets do you need to develop now to run those campaigns successfully?
7. What’s the highest priority? What will you focus on in Quarter 1?
Think it through. Write down your thoughts, ideas, and inspirations. Then create a schedule for getting it all done.
Smart marketing prep
My suggestion is to plan concretely only one quarter at a time. New opportunities may arise that derail your plans or change your focus. That’s okay. Just revisit these 7 questions and refine your strategy for the next 3 months.
Happy holidays
That’s it for 2014. I’m taking next week off from the blog and will resume the C4 Report in 2015.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
