If you’re trying to scale your small business but feel like you’re spinning your wheels, you’re probably searching for tools, resources, and advice from every “guru” who says they’ve got the answer.
Trouble is, most of those people haven’t actually done what they teach. Behind all the hype, they’re struggling too.
I’ve read dozens of books on business growth, and none come anywhere close to Austin Netzley’s book, From 6 to 7 Figures.
Netzley is the founder of 2X, the coaching program that teaches his playbook for driving predictable growth and profits.
To join 2x, you have to be earning $500k or more. Ironically, you may need his coaching to get to that point. Which is why From 6 to 7 Figures is such a valuable book. Here, you’ll get the same training and methodology — in a do-it-yourself format.
What You’ll Learn
Netzley walks you step-by-step through his methodology:
Chapter 1: The Million-Dollar Mindset & Vision
Chapter 2: Your 7-Figure Strategy
Chapter 3: Fire Yourself From the Day-to-Day
Chapter 4: Operational Machine
Chapter 5: World-Class Team
Chapter 6: Close!
Chapter 7: Growth Engines
Chapter 8: Making 7-Figures Your New Reality
He starts with the foundation, mindset, and builds from there, giving you clear, understandable instructions, examples, and illustrations that make it easy to understand how to apply his lessons to your own business.
Of course, executing on those lessons is up to you. You’ll likely find yourself grappling with barriers you didn’t realize you had, and it could take time to shift your mindset or untangle your current business systems.
If you’re looking for an easy button or earth-shatteringly new strategy, you’ll be disappointed. Netzleys’ process is very similar to the processes I learned in SMU’s graduate marketing program. But it’s eminently more practical and accessible.
To get the most from the book, you’ll want to work on each lesson as you read, as if you’re in his coaching program.
That means you’ll be reading slowly and making some tough decisions along the way.
About Austin Netzley
Netzley started his career as an engineer and quickly realized that wasn’t his passion. He shifted gears to become an investor and entrepreneur, which was clearly the right move.
He overcame $81,000 of debt and a middle class mindset to find financial freedom. Then, at age 27, Netzley ‘retired’ from corporate America to travel the world and scale his automated stock trading business
He’s the author of the 27-time #1 bestseller “Make Money, Live Wealthy,” founder of ONE Pursuit Investments, and host of the YoPro Wealth blog and podcast.
Netzley’s mission is helping others elevate their money and mindset. As of this writing, he’s built three seven-figure companies and has generated more than $255 million in revenue for clients while they’re still in his 2x programs.
My Biggest Takeaways
This is one of those books that needs to be absorbed slowly. You won’t get everything you need in one reading.
What you will get are practical, actionable tips for upleveling your business right now. In your first reading, you may get the most value from Chapter two or three. In your next reading, you may glean more from a later chapter.
That’s okay. This is one of those books you’ll come back to again and again.
For me, there were three key takeaways:
- Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.
- Systematize everything.
- Know your numbers.
These are the issues I’ll be working on for the next few months. Then, maybe next year, I’ll read the book again for my next three challenges.
As Netzley says, “The right structure and strategic focus combined with the right plan of action will get you on the path to seven figures in a hurry.”
The key is action. Don’t just read this book. Use it as your playbook for growth.
What’s Missing
Netzley gives you a free audiobook and access to the tools and templates he uses in his 2x coaching. There’s not a lot missing from this book except feedback on the decisions you make as you read.
You’re probably going to want to join his coaching program so you can talk out the ideas and accelerate growth. If you’re not at $500k revenue yet, that’s incentive to get to work applying his methods today.
The book is well-written, well-organized, and full of actionable advice for growing your business. No fluff here. You’ll walk away with at least one piece of advice that’s immediately usable.
My recommendation: If you want to take your business to 7-figures, this book is a must-read. Skip your coffee break and go directly to your favorite bookstore today. You’ll be glad you did.
